Larry and Phyllis Hood

Larry and Phyllis Hood, Logansport, will be celebrating their golden anniversary with a short trip and dinner attended by family and close friends at a later date.

Larry Hood and Phyllis Harness met on a blind date in 1955 and married on June 6, 1959, at Salem Methodist Church near Deacon after Larry returned from serving in the armed forces.

He retired from barbering in his own barber shop on 15th Street, and Phyllis is retired from the Logansport Savings Bank.

Their children are Shawna Wilson and her husband, Scott, Larry Brian Hood and his wife, Lisa, Logansport, and Jill Cobbs and her husband, Kent, Westfield. They also have eight grandchildren, Leigh Ann Hershberger and husband, Jeff, Lindsay Gibson and her husband, Matt, Brandon Wilson, Mariah Hood, Brianne Cobbs, Joelle Cobbs, Kaylee Cobbs and Owen Cobbs.
