William and Barbara Taylor

William and Barbara Taylor, Logansport, will observe their 40th wedding anniversary today.

William Taylor and the former Barbara Caikoski were married Oct. 18, 1969, in Conshohocken, Pa., at St. Mary’s RC Church. The Rev. Charles Scherer officiated, who was chaplain at the Newman Center at Temple University in Philadelphia.

The couple was introduced by a mutual friend while attending Temple University in Philadelphia. He proposed to Barbara on Valentine’s Day in 1969 while on leave from the U.S. Army.

Their children are Todd and Hillery Taylor, Logansport, and Zach Taylor and Danielle Syslo, Los Angeles, Calif. They also have three grandchildren, Jacob, Loran and Graham Taylor.
