Pulaski County 2007 4-H Fair Schedule

The Pulaski County 4-H and Community Fair is scheduled July 7-13 at the Pulaski County Fairgrounds, located in the back of Winamac’s Town Park. Following is the schedule of events for this year.

Saturday – July 7

5 – 10 a.m. — Enter 4-H sheep, swine, poultry, rabbit, and goat livestock in cattle barns 

8:30 a.m. - noon. — Enter open class exhibits in Community Center

1 p.m. ‚ Closed judging / open class exhibits

The Extension Homemakers will be holding a bake sale on after open class foods judging and a Silent Auction, all fair week.

10:30 a.m. — Livestock Exhibitor meeting in 4-H Show Arena

 Noon — 4-H poultry judging

 7 p.m. — Goat Fitting Demo in Entertainment Stage

 4 p.m. — 4-H Recognition & Coronation Program

6:30 p.m. — Truck & Tractor Pull at Pull Strip. $5 admission fee 6 years & up

Sunday – July 8

  3 p.m. — Pedal Tractor Pull in Outdoor Arena

  8 a.m. — 4-H Horse & Pony Judging in 4-H Show Arena  

  9 a.m. — Church service

  2 p.m. — 4-H Goat Show

  7 p.m. — Llama & Alpaca Demo

10 a.m. — Sand Volleyball Tournament

  6 p.m. — 4-H Fashion Revue at Entertainment Stage

  8 p.m. — Miss Pulaski County Pageant       

  7 p.m. — “Pump it Up” – Sport Games at Community Center Porch

Monday – July 9

  8 a.m. — 4-H Sheep Show at Show Arena

10:30 a.m. — 4-H Rabbit Judging

 7 p.m. — 4-H Beef Show

 1:30 p.m. — 4-H Cat Show at Octagon Pavilion

 4 p.m. — 4-H Tractor Demo at Outdoor Arena

 6 p.m. — Little Miss & Mister Pulaski Pageant at Entertainment Stage     

 7 p.m. — “For Kids Only”  Fashion Show

6 p.m. — Garden Tractor Pull / Pull Strip

8:30 p.m. — Talent Show

Tuesday – July 10

7 p.m. — Dairy Goat Milking Demo

7:30 p.m. — Retinal Scanner Demo  

8 a.m. — 4-H Swine Show at Show Arena

6 p.m. — 4-H Horse & Pony Contestat Outdoor Arena                            

6 p.m. — Horseshoe Pitching Tournament in park nearest fairgrounds       

7 p.m. — Jim Dobson & Friends at Entertainment Stage

9 p.m. — Bash Green

7 p.m. — “Milk Mustache”- Got Milk Pictures w/Sue Nies at Community Center

7 – 9 p.m. — Scrapbooking Workshop

7 p.m. — Dog Agility

7 p.m. Electrical Demonstration

Wednesday – July 11 

  9 a.m. — Livestock Judging Contest in Show Arena

Noon — 4-H Dairy Show

 7:30 p.m. — K-9 Demonstration

   3 p.m. — 4-H Pets Pals Judging                

  4 p.m. - 9 p.m. — Earth Day Activities by Northwest Indiana Solid Waste District and Pulaski County Soil & Water                              

  6 p.m. — Fair Parade – “Opportunity Awaits” downtown to fairgrounds

  6 p.m. — Horseshoe Pitching Tournament finals          

  7 p.m. — “Pump it Up” – Sport Games at Community Center

  7:30 p.m. — Car Care 101 w/NAPA Auto Parts

  8 p.m. — Battle of the Barns in Outdoor Arena

Thursday - July 12

9 a.m. — 4-H RC Car Race at Entertainment Stage

6:30 p.m. — Forerunner Worship

9 a.m. — Ultimate Livestock Showmen Contest in Show Arena

6 p.m. — 4-H Auction (Sale order:  beef, dairy, goats, rabbits, poultry, sheep, and swine)                  

10 a.m. — Horse & Pony Fun Show at Outdoor Arena                        

6 p.m. — Impaired Vision Drive Challenge in 4-H Building                         

7 p.m. — 4-H Exhibits released

7 p.m. — Open Class Exhibits released

7:30 p.m. — Firemen “Water Ball” Challenge at Tractor Pull Strip

 Friday - July 13

6 p.m. — Demolition Derby Combines & Autos at Outdoor Arena; $5 admission charged at the gate for 6 years and up.
