Carroll County Fair schedule

The Carroll County 4-H Fair is scheduled July 11-16 at the Carroll Co. 4-H Fairgrounds, located on the east side of Flora, one block north of State Rd. 18 at the intersection of 4th and Main St. Following is the schedule of events for this year.

Friday, July 11

7 p.m. — Little Miss and Mister Contest, Show Arena

7 p.m. — Merchants Building open

Saturday, July 12

8 a.m. — Rabbits, Show Arena

9 a.m. — 4-H Horse & Pony, English, Draft & Gaming Events, Horse Arena

4 p.m. — Bicycle Rodeo

5 p.m. — Junior Leaders pulled pork dinner, Park

6 p.m. — 1/16th scale Motorized Tractor Pull, Pavilion 3

6-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open

7 p.m. — Carroll FFA Pedal Tractor Pull, Basketball Court

7 p.m. — Carroll County 4-H Queen Contest, Show Arena

Sunday, July 13

Tobacco Free Day

7-11 a.m. — Check-in beef

2 p.m. — Parade: “Today’s 4-H Stars ... Tomorrow’s Leaders,” marshals Carol and Paul O’Farrell (Rain date for float judging only is 6 p.m. Monday)

3-5 p.m. — Carroll Kid’s Day Health Info, Merchants Building

4-6 p.m. — Check-in Home & Family Arts Open Class Exhibits, Home & Family Arts Building

4-6:30 p.m. — Check-in Beef, Goats, Sheep, and Poultry

4-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open

5-8 p.m. — Leadership Carroll Co. BBQ beef dinner, Park

7 p.m. — 4-H Fashion Revue,Show Arena

Monday, July 14

5-7 a.m. — Check-in Swine

7:30-9 a.m. — Check-in Home & Family Arts Open Class exhibits, Home & Family Arts Building

7:30 a.m. — Swine exhibitor meeting and weigh-In

8 a.m. — 4-H Poultry Show, Poultry Barn

8 a.m.-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open

9 a.m. — 4-H Dog Show, Show Arena

9:30 a.m. — Judging of Home & Family Arts Open Class Exhibits, Home & Family Arts Building

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. — Extension Homemakers chicken salad croissants, 4-H Building

5 p.m. — Democrat Port-A-Pit Chicken Dinner, park

5-9 p.m. — Home & Family Arts Building open

6 p.m. — Llama & Alpaca Show, Show Arena

7 p.m. — Cowboy Church Band, sponsored by Antique Tractor Club

7-8:30 p.m. — Area Square Dancers, caller Dick Burns, Basketball Court

7:30 p.m. — Homemade Ice Cream, sponsored by Antique Tractor Club

Tuesday, July 15

8-10 a.m. — Registration Harvest of Quilts, Home & Family Arts Building

8 a.m.-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open

8 a.m. — 4-H Goat Show, Show Arena

8:30 a.m. — Beef Weigh-In

9 a.m. — 4-H Horse & Pony Western Show, Horse Arena

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. — Extension Homemakers chicken salad croissants or taco salad Lunch, 4-H Building

9 a.m. — Registration Cookie Bake-A-Rama, Home & Family Arts Building

9 a.m.-9 p.m. — Home & Family Arts Building open

9 a.m.-9 p.m. — Harvest of Quilts Show, Home & Family Arts Building

10 a.m. — Cookie Bake-A-Rama judging

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. — Extension Homemakers taco salad lunch, 4-H Building

11 a.m. — Ribeye steak sandwich lunch, sponsored by Carroll Co. Ag Assoc & Pork Producers, park

4:30 p.m. — 4-H Small Animal Premier Showmanship, Show Arena

4:30-7 p.m. — Extension Homemakers taco salad dinner, 4-H Building

5 p.m. — Republican pork chop dinner, park
