2008 White County 4-H Fair

The White County 4-H Fair is scheduled July 19-24 at the White Co. 4-H Fairgrounds in Reynolds. Following is the schedule of events for this year.

Saturday, July 19

12 a.m.-3 p.m. — Open weighing of Swine

6-8 a.m. — Receive all remaining Poultry

6 a.m.-noon — Receive all Dairy and Goats

7-11 a.m. — Receive all Beef

8 a.m.-noon — Receive all Horse & Pony

9 a.m. — Rabbit Judging, Rabbit Barn

10:30 a.m. — 4-H Lawn/Garden Tractor Operator’s Contest, Arena

11:30 a.m. — Flag raising ceremony by County Jr. Leaders

Noon-5 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

3 p.m. — 4-H Llama Show, Arena

4 p.m. — Horse & Pony Fun Show

5-7 p.m. — Antique Farming Demos & Tractor Games, Ant. Tractor Area

6 p.m. — 4-H & Ext. Homemakers’ Public Fashion Revue, stage, sponsored by Clarian Arnett Health

7:30-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

7 p.m. — 4-H Awards Program, stage

8 p.m. — Fair Queen Pageant finals, stage

Sunday, July 20

10 a.m. — 4-H Fair Vesper Service, Resurrection Ministry, stage

11 a.m.-2 p.m. — Chicken Fry, sponsored by White Co. 4-H Junior Leaders & White Co. Ag. Assn., in front of Pork Producers

Noon-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

11 a.m. — Dog Show, Arena

2 p.m. — Rabbit Ambassador Contest, Rabbit Barn

2 p.m. — 4-H & Antique Tractor Parade, fairgrounds

4 p.m. — Antique Farming Demos & Tractor Games, Ant. Tractor Area

5:30 p.m. — Shooting Sports Awards Program, Stage

7 p.m. — Battle of the Barns, Arena

7:30-9 p.m. D J Miller (country), Stage

Monday, July 21

8:30-9 a.m. — Check-in Open Flower & Garden Show exhibits, Young McDonalds Farm

9 a.m. — Dairy Judging, Arena, sponsored by Hanenkratt Grain Co. Inc.

9 a.m. — Poultry Judging, Rabbit Barn

9 a.m. — Horse & Pony Western Show

9:30 a.m. — Judging of Open Flower & Garden Show exhibits

Noon-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

1:30 p.m. — Sheep Judging, Arena

1:30 p.m. — Farm Tractor Operator’s Contest

4-7 p.m. — Girls Scouts in Commercial Tent

4-7 p.m. — Amplifie (Alternative Rock), stage

5-8 p.m. — Antique Farming Demos & Tractor Games, Ant. Tractor Area

6 p.m. — Small Animal Show, Goat Arena

6 p.m. — Sheep Judging, Mini 4-H Lamb lead

6 p.m. — Kiddie Tractor Pull, east of Sheep Barn

7 p.m. — Championship Sheep Show, Arena

Tuesday, July 22

6 p.m. — Horse & Pony Contesting Show

8-10 p.m. — No Apparent Reason (alternative rock), stage

Wednesday, July 23

8:00 a.m. — Dairy Goat Judging followed by Meat Goat Judging (mini goat lead class following Showmanship), Goat Arena

9:30 a.m. — Beef Judging, Arena, sponsored by Bio Town Ag, Inc.

Noon-10 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

10 a.m. — Check-out Open Flower & Garden Show exhibits

4-7 p.m. — Silly Safari, stage

5-8 p.m. — Antique Farming Demos & Tractor Games, Ant. Tractor Area

6:30 p.m. — Championship Beef Show, Arena

7-10 p.m. — Karaoke (Tom Barbour), stage

Thursday, July 24

Morning — Release of livestock not in 4-H Auction

8 a.m.-Noon — Check out Antique Tractors & Machinery Exhibits

9 a.m. — Co. 4-H Public Speaking & Demonstration Contest, stage

9 a.m. — Horse & Pony English Show

Noon-6:30 p.m. — 4-H Building open to the public

2 p.m. — Ultimate Showmanship Contest, Arena, sponsored by UAP Distribution

4:30 p.m. — 4-H Livestock Auction buyer meal

5:30 p.m. — 4-H Livestock Auction

7-10 p.m. — Fox (rock), stage

7-8:30 p.m. — Check-out 4-H Building Exhibits
