LOGANSPORT — The Logansport-Cass County Economic Development Foundation has named a new president.
Connie Neininger will assume her new role on Nov. 19, according to a news release issued today.
Neininger comes to the post from White County, where for the past seven years she has been the county economic development director. LEDF representatives noted that Neininger had been successful in optimizing communication among White County officials, helping local companies with expansion efforts and the development of more than $1.2 billion of economic development projects.
"We feel that Connie is an excellent candidate for this position,” states Jim Hayden, LEDF's board chair. “She is a bridge builder with the skills and desire to bring people together in collaborative economic development efforts. We are excited to have her join our team.”
Neininger currently lives in White County, and the LEDF board agreed to release a residency requirement so that Neininger could accept the position. Hayden said the board felt that felt community involvement was even more important than residency.
“I am a firm believer that building a community takes everyone working together, so I am looking forward to meeting more people and being involved in the community,” Neininger said in the news release issued this morning.
