Police make second arrest in robberies

MONTICELLO — Police made a second arrest today in connection with two robberies and an attempted robbery.

Police this morning arrested 18-year-old Andrea E. Vaughn of Monticello on a White County warrant charging her with aiding a robbery and aiding an attempted robbery. She was held this afternoon in the White County Jail under $10,000 bond.

Twenty-year-old Raymond L. Kestler of Monticello had been arrested Wednesday for the Wednesday robberies at Admiral Gas Station in Monticello and Family Express Staion in Monon, as well as an attempted robbery at the Main Street Station and reports of thefts from motor vehicles in the Monticello area.

A news release issued by the Monticello Police Department late Wednesday reported that "some of the money and property have been recovered."

The arrests came as a result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police, Monon Police Department, White County Sheriff's Department, White County Prosecutor's Office and Monticello Police Department.
