BizWorld

UNDERSTANDING BUSINESS: Lincoln Middle School students Jacob Steinman, Morgan Rozzi and Olivia Little work on their BizWorld products. Venture capitalist Tim Draper started BizWorld in 1993 after his daughter asked him to describe what he did at work every day. BizWorld’s mission is to challenge and engage children across the cultural and economic spectrum through experiential learning programs that teach the basics of business, entrepreneurship, and money management and promote teamwork and leadership in the classroom. Through a grant from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the SUCCEED committee had the opportunity to offer BizWorld to all Cass County middle schools. Columbia, Lincoln and Pioneer middle schools will include the program in their curriculum this fall. Lincoln Middle School is including BizWorld in its seventh grade Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum.
