PUBLIC FORUM: Thanks for support of home tour

Delta Theta Chi would like to thank the following for their hard work and allowing us to have them on our annual Holiday Home Tour. Connie Rush; Cheryl Callahan; Tom Coleman and Unique Travel; Joe and Lynne Ness; and Janet Newton from Holly Bazaar at Logansport Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. It is truly because of them that we are able to continue each year giving out all Cass County third-graders their Cass County History Books.

Congratulations to the winners: Holly Bazaar Nativity Scene: Michelle Harrison; Unique Travel $250 gift certificate, Josephine Flory; Unique Travel $125 gift certificate, Herd Crimmins; and Unique Travel $62.50 gift certificate, Julia Jones.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

  • PUBLIC FORUM: Walton’s May Fest a big success thanks to many

    The May Fest last Saturday was a huge success. We probably had the most visitors ever for one of these events. The word was that every street had multiple yard sales. The feedback that I got suggests we also had the most yard sales ever.

  • PUBLIC VIEW: Letter carriers report results of food drive

    On May 11, 2013, the NALC (National Association of Letter Carriers) held its 21st annual food drive. Local NALC Branch 3232 was participating for the 18th year in the food drive and through the efforts of its members and many other volunteers, collected 14,215 pounds.

    When the residents of Logansport elected me as their new mayor in November 2011, it was truly an honor.
    Our city was battling back from a devastating loss of 1,500 jobs in five years, a recession that wasn’t letting up on the household income of our residents, a divided fire protection commitment in our county and an overall sense of loss in our community.

    With spring and warmer weather (finally!), brings another baseball season. The board and managers/coaches at Logansport Youth Baseball have been extremely busy over the past two years renovating both our fields to provide a quality atmosphere for our players and fans who support our league.
