Thanks for helping to celebrate birthday

A big thank you to all my family for hosting my 90th birthday celebration. It was very special to me.

Thanks to all who braved the extreme heat to attend. The cards and phone calls have been appreciated.

Thanks again for making my day so special.

June Dunbar, Logansport

Thanks for support during health crisis

Please allow me to thank all the people who have prayed to God for my recovery during my recent health crisis. In May, I required surgery on my left knee to remove bone fragments. In June, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and surgery was required to remove a section of my colon that contained the cancer.

Through the many prayers God shed his mercy and the cancer is gone. I have an option of chemotherapy to perhaps keep it away.

I want to praise God from whom all blessings flow and to thank so many who have stood by me and prayed. Many people in Indiana called and wrote me to express their love and to tell me that they were praying for me and my family. Let me thank them and tell them that their prayers were answered.

Indiana is home to me. Born and raised in North Carolina, I came to Indiana in 1985 and lived there until 1994. I worked at Cardinal Center in Warsaw as a behavior specialist. I worked for Passages in Columbia City as a rehabilitation coordinator. I worked for Four County Counseling in Rochester and Winamac as a therapist. I lived in Winona Lake. I always felt at home in Indiana and have many friends there that I think of often.

I want to thank all the people in Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, South Carolina and all over North Carolina who have prayed for me.

Thank you for your prayers and praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Janice Poteat Hensley, Old Fort, N.C.
