PUBLIC FORUM: Carousel director expresses gratitude

As this year has come to a close, it has been successful for us at the Cass County Dentzel Carousel. We would like to thank all of you for using our facility for your celebrations throughout the year. December was a busy month for us, it included having nearly 30 private parties, along with being open to the public for two days after Christmas with the help of Jarrell Orthodontics. It is always a pleasure to watch people make new memories or start new traditions with their families and have the Carousel be part of that. I have come across so many people this last year that tell me their memories and how they want to share it with their children or grandchildren. This in turn gives me the opportunity to tell them my memories and traditions that I continue to have with my family. It is something so simple like going in a circle, riding a handcarved wooden animal, and catching the brass ring that can transform us all to a place so innocent, so unforgetable, that it feels like magic. I believe, regardless your age, you will always feel that magic when you come back to visit. The Dentzel Carousel has been in Logansport since 1919 and, with our great community, I have no doubt it will be here for generations to come!
