Cass County announces summer road projects

The 51 projects included in the Cass County Highway Department’s Road Remediation Plan are estimated to cost between $1,000 and $3,000 each. They vary from chip and seal work to pug and hot mix.

Superintendent Steve Easley said the plan is contingent on funds, with work likely to be delayed on roads where the cost goes above budget. Similarly, if the department finds that it is running under budget, some projects might be added.

The following roads are scheduled for work by the Cass County Highway Department:

Adams Township

800E - 800N to 900N, chip and seal

700E - 625N to 750N, chip and seal

725E - 300N to 450N, chip and seal

600N - 1050E to 1100E, pug 2 sections

750N - 700E to 800E, pug 1 section

Bethlehem Township

100E - 500N to 600N, chip and seal

475N - 300E to Ind. 25, chip and seal

600E - 450N to 575N, chip and seal

600E - 625N to Ind. 16, chip and seal

Clay-Bethlehem townships

575E - 300N to 425N, chip and seal

Clay Township
