A Camden man remains in critical condition following a crash on Ind. 25 at Clymers Monday night.
At 11:55 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the curve on Ind. 25 near 400 South for a personal-injury accident.
According to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, 19-year-old Fredrick A. Reid of Camden had been traveling northbound on Ind. 25 when his vehicle veered left of center for an unknown reason and collided with a southbound semi driven by 31-year-old Cameron J. Martin of Logansport.
The impact severely damaged Reid’s truck. Firefighters with the Logansport Fire Department used hydraulic tools to free Reid from the wreckage.
After being extricated, Reid was airlifted from the scene. He was sent to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where as of Tuesday he was listed in critical condition.
Clymers Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
