Construction to delay Indiana Beach traffic

MONTICELLO — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will temporarily close West Shafer Drive at County Road 225N for approximately 15 days beginning the week of April 9.

The road will be closed so the contractor can excavate and resurface the asphalt before the opening of Indiana Beach. The project is from 500 feet south of 225N on West Shafer Drive extending to 200 feet north of Indiana Beach Road.

The detour for northbound traffic is west on 100N (Rickey Road) to north on 300E to east on 225N back to Shafer Drive. The detour for southbound traffic is west on 225N to south on 300E to east on 100N (Rickey Road) back to Shafer Drive (North Sixth Street).
