Wreck leaves one injured

An Indianapolis man was airlifted from a collision with a semi on Logansport’s south side Wednesday morning.

According to a Logansport Police Department report, the wreck occurred about 10 a.m. Wednesday at 18th Street and U.S. 35 when a car driven by 24-year-old Daniel O. Jones of Indianapolis turned into the path of a semi driven by 42-year-old Bryan D. Whitted of Huntington.

Jones complained of chest pain and was flown by helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he was listed in fair condition this morning.

Jones reportedly told police that he might not have seen the semi because of the sun shining in his eyes.
