Spoon man to visit area libraries

From Staff Reports

Jim Cruise, better known as “The Spoon Man,” will appear on Thursday at the Logansport and Galveston public libraries.

The performance at the Logansport-Cass County Public Library will be at 10 a.m., followed by an encore at the Galveston Branch Library at 1 p.m.

The “Spoon Man” is a published author who offers an interactive comedy program for all ages. His program contains several impressions such as Glen Miller and Elvis combining together a heavy Metal Spoon Player and a Rap Spoon Player. Additionally, he has an audience sing-a-long competition, and creates a mountain band out of members of the audience.

The “Spoon Man” has been playing the spoons for nearly 32 years (professionally for 20 years). He is married with five children. He has recently produced the first ever instructional video on how to play spoons, titled “Music from the Kitchen.”
