Extended jobless benefits available

The Indiana Department of Labor and Workforce Development has issued their plans for the distribution of extended unemployment for Hoosiers whose unemployment benefits have expired.

Hoosiers will be eligible for 13 additional weeks of unemployment compensation beginning next week.

Claimants who have exhausted their 26 weeks of state unemployment and 20 weeks of federal extended unemployment benefits are now eligible for up to 13 weeks of federal unemployment payments.

Claimants will be able to file for the new federal benefits through the Uplink system starting Sunday at uplink.in.gov/CSS/CSSLogon.htm.

People who do not have computers may go to their local WorkOne office to file. The Logansport office is in Eastgate Plaza next to Ivy Tech.
