LMU announces hydrant flushing
Logansport Municipal Utilities started its spring fire hydrant flushing program on April 12 and will continue through May 21.
Flushing begins in the midtown area and then the downtown area the first week. They will proceed in the next two weeks through the east end of town. The following two weeks include the south and west side and the last week includes the north side.
Flushing will be performed each week from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Sunday night through Thursday night.
During the time of flushing, customers may notice lower water pressure and possibly discolored water. Typically, running a small amount of water after the flushing will clean up any residue.
If problems persist after the flushing, call LMU at (574) 753-6231.
