Area PTO offers booths for sale

ROYAL CENTER — The Pioneer Elementary PTO is renting out booths for a school-wide rummage sale.

The sale is planned from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2. There are 39 booths available.

Booth rent is $20 and each participant will receive a 12x12 booth with one table and two chairs. Booths will be rented out on a first-come basis.

The last day to rent is April 24.

Volunteers needed at wildlife center

DELPHI — The Wildcat Wildlife Center in Delphi is looking for volunteers who can work four hours a week to help with baby feeders, animal care, maintenance, rescue, clerical, data entry, phones, grant writing and accounting.

Pulaski Co. animals weigh-in announced

WINAMAC — The retinal scanning and weigh-in for Pulaski County 4-H animals will be at the Pulaski County Fairgrounds at the following times:

• Goats — 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 24;

• Sheep — 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25;

• Starter calves — 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

Enrollment forms will be due at that time.

Fundraiser planned for Relay for Life

ROYAL CENTER — A yard and bake sale to benefit Relay for Life is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday across from Whallon Machinery on U.S. 35 in Royal Center.

Everything is priced for quick sale.

All proceeds go to support the Cass County Relay For Life.

Local VFW holding dinner at post home

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 is hosting a chicken and beef and noodle supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Post Home, 1023 Erie Avenue.

The cost is $7 for the all-you-can-eat meal, and non-members are welcome.

Big Band concert planned in Rochester

ROCHESTER — The Fulton County Choral Club and Sentimental Journeys Band will perform at 7 p.m. April 25 in First Baptist Church in Rochester.

The performance is titled “Main Street Saturday Night.”

Tickets are $10 and include Big Band music, song and dessert.

Saturday fundraiser will support troops

Organizers of “Supporting Troops, Boxes for Heroes” will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks at $1 for all three from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in front of Martin’s Supermarket, 3420 E. Market St.

Money raised from the event will be used to help send priority, flat-rate boxes of items to troops serving overseas.
