Web First: Rain postpones fireworks

Nearly nonstop rain throughout the day ended up postponing fireworks in a number of area towns.

Walton, Logansport, Delphi, Flora and Greentown exhibits were all postponed. Peru officials said its show would go on as long as it wasn't raining at 9 p.m. No information was available on Burlington's show.

Rain needed to clear by approximately 7 p.m. for the Logansport Jaycees to go ahead with their show at Fairview Park. They postponed the show and the rain date has yet to be determined.

In Walton, Delphi, Flora and Greentown, the fireworks will go off at dusk tonight.
