DELPHI — An Ambia resident has been charged in Carroll County with theft from the Cub Scout pack in Delphi after the new treasurer reported funds missing from the pack’s account.
First Sgt. Tom McKee of the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division was asked to investigate the theft of about $3,000, which was taken while 38-year-old Jane Alison Popejoy was Cubmaster/treasurer of Pack 3165.
Popejoy turned herself in to Carroll County Sheriff’s Department on Monday and was released after posting bond. She has been charged with theft, a class D felony.
McKee said the charges were filed last week as a result of a seven-month investigation.
