WEB FIRST: Logan police find marijuana

Search of home results in two arrests

Logansport police arrested two people after finding marijuana in a home on the city’s west side.

The search for a man wanted for an alleged probation violation led officers to a residence at 125 W. Miami Ave. just after 9 p.m. Wednesday. Inside, police reportedly spotted a marijuana smoking device in plain sight.

After securing a search warrant, K-9 Hodo found a stash of pre-packaged marijuana and several pieces of paraphernalia inside the home, according to police reports.

Police arrested the lease holder, 27-year-old Marnetta Darlene Antunez of Logansport, on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana.

Police also arrested 25-year-old Jonathon Lee Elpers, who was the man wanted by the probation department. Elpers, of Logansport, was arrested on charges of probation violation, visiting a common nuisance and dealing in marijuana.
