BUNKER HILL — Traffic is being re-routed on U.S. 31 near Ind. 218 because of a fatal car crash this morning involving four vehicles, according to the Indiana State Police.
Details of the crash have not been released. Sgt. Tony Slocum of the state police said southbound lanes on U.S. 31 are closed "and will be for an extended period of time for debris cleanup and the crash investigation."
Northbound U.S. 31 is reduced to one lane of moving traffic, he said.
Slocum advised motorists to seek alternate routes of travel.
