LOGANSPORT —
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the Logansport area, beginning Tuesday morning. It will remain in effect until Tuesday evening.
A winter storm watch indicates there is a potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Heavy snow is possible Tuesday across northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. Accumulations of 3 to 7 inches is possible, according to the NWS.
There will also be periods of freezing rain and sleet, with the potential for light accumulations of ice. NWS officials warn that snow and ice accumulations on trees and power lines could cause power outages.
There is also a chance, however, that some areas may changeover to rain during the early afternoon.
