It’s time for the true American spirit to step up. I’m talking about the proposed mosque at ground zero. What have we become, The United States of Capitulation? This is the place where radical Islam murdered thousands of our people, and the fact any American would even consider allowing them to build a monument to their victory there sickens me. This isn’t about constitutional rights, or human rights, or religious freedom (which is fading fast for Christians), this is about common sense and the rights of those who died there.
That ground is hallowed just like the ground at Gettysburg, and the soil of the many other memorial battlegrounds of the Civil War. It belongs to those who fought and died there. Would we allow a
mosque to be built on one of these memorials? In the case of ground zero, it belongs to those who were murdered there, and I would think that even the liberals in this country would have the good sense to choose the rights of their countrymen over those of the murderers. But then, I’m an eternal optimist, and I have been disappointed often lately.
Instead of being politically correct I would like to see all Americans stand up and say, “Hell no! You are not going to build a memorial to the murder of our people on ground zero. A memorial to those who died there you can build, but if you build a memorial to those who committed murder there we will certainly blow it to smithereens at the first opportunity.” That’s what I would like to see Americans say, and don’t give me that crap about their right to have a mosque there.
The imam what’s his name knows very well it is only to rub our noses in something that is repugnant, and the good Muslims in this country know it, too. I have read the Koran through twice to see what they believe, and the true Muslim religion would, I am sure, advise against building the Mosque at ground zero out of consideration for the feelings of those who lost loved ones there.
I also think Americans need to step up to the ballot box come November and tell this misguided administration what they think of sending imam what’s his name through the Middle East on a fundraising tour for the proposed mosque (That’s what his trip is) at taxpayer’s expense. I am beginning to think our government has already surrendered our fair country to the United Nations and all points East. I am nearly afraid to turn on the TV anymore for fear of what I might see and hear.
I wish they could bring back Milton Berle, and Red Skeleton, and some of the other old comedians for a good clean laugh. I am tired of watching America’s demise on the boob tube. If you want to know the truth, I think America as a whole is losing all of what made us such a great nation. A nation that many others envy and wish to destroy, and now they are getting internal help to do it.
I wonder where the dream of America would have ended if the lawmen of the old West would have had to read a horse thief his rights and battle the ACLU (Anti Christ Lawyers Union) through the
courts before being able to draw their six-shooters and plugging him. And how about the pioneers who supported law and order? If it had been like it is today, they would have had to allow space on the wall of the post office beside the wanted posters for the outlaws to make derogatory remarks about Wyatt Earp, and other law officers, and if one of the officers arrested a foreigner, they would have called him a racist or a bigot.
It’s all gotten to be too much. No one can say what he thinks anymore about anything or anyone without being called a bigot. How can we ever hope to save our country from the mess it is in unless we all work together and consider America first. There is a lot of work to be done to pull America back from the brink. Our country is divided at a time when it is imperative we all pull together, and that divisiveness has all been caused by the politics practiced in Washington.
I remember a speed sentence we used to type in typing class, “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.” I can still type it fast after 63 years, and now is the time, if there ever was a time, for Americans to pull together. For the love of God, give us the goals that will promote the good of our families and our country, and get the obstacles out of our way. Perhaps we can put our country on the right road and save it one more time.
