North Miami, which won its first ever girls basketball sectional, has been eliminated from the tourney by Manchester. Caston, which has won its first basketball sectional for either boys or girls since the corporation was established in 1966-67, also has been sidelined.
Jim Sparks of the Norfolk Southern Railway says the Wilson Road crossing southwest of Logansport on Ind. 25 is the worst in the entire railroad district, which includes portions of Illinois. Sparks says railroad spokesman are promoting railroad safety as part of Operation Lifesaver.
