Jake Howdeshell broke his own school record for 3-pointers in a game, knocking down 10, to lead the Caston boys basketball team to a 59-22 thrashing of South Newton Friday night.
Howdeshell finished with 34 points for the Comets (8-4, 3-0 Midwest Conference). Quentin Douglass added 16 in the win.
After leading by just nine at the half, the Comets locked down defensively and outscored the Rebels 38-10 in the second half.
