    Logansport’s baseball team fought and clawed and scratched, and the Berries played well for the most part against visiting Huntington North on Wednesday.
    The Berries certainly had their opportunities at a second straight North Central Conference sweep.

    Caston’s Caleb Rowe was a tour de force against arch-rival Pioneer on Monday.
    The senior right-hander fired a no-hitter and also hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to individually deliver a 2-0 win in the second game of a double-header in Royal Center.

    For the second game in a row a Lewis Cass pitcher has pitched well enough to register a win. For the second game in a row the Kings came out on the losing end of things in a Mid-Indiana Conference matchup.
    Defending Class 3A state champion Western escaped town with a 5-3 win on Tuesday.

    School records fell, county champions were named and the Star of Stars were crowned.
    Logansport’s boys team continued its reign as the champions of the Cass County track meet, while the Lewis Cass girls squad won its fifth straight county title.
