  • Baseball teams gear up for start of the season

    Logansport’s baseball team has strength in numbers when it comes to starting pitching.
    Veteran Logan coach Jim Turner said the Berries have seven pitchers he feels he can rely on entering the season. The Berries open today at home against Twin Lakes.

    Logansport gymnastics coach Dannan Mordenti wanted to make sure history did not repeat itself.
    Mordenti was a senior gymnast for the No. 5-ranked Berries in 2006 when they missed advancing to the state finals by .4 of a point.

    Winamac coach Tim Roth will be the head coach for the North squad. Winamac’s Zach Shidler and Pioneer’s Josh Lytle have been selected to the North All-Star team.
