Mary Zinn

Mary Zinn, Flora, will be celebrating her 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 7 at Bringhurst United Methodist Church in Bringhurst.

Mary was born March 8, 1930, in Howard County to Russell and Marjorie Walker Wilson.

She graduated in 1948 from Logansport High School, and was married in 1949 to Ralph Zinn, of Flora, who is deceased.

In 1951 she began working for her father-in-law, Orman Zinn, in the family business, now known as Zinn Kitchens, and she is still employed there.

Hosting the open house will be her son and his wife, Greg and Teresa Zinn; grandson and his wife, Andy and Susan Zinn; grandson and his wife, Alan and Jenny Zinn; and great-grandchildren, Kinsey, Garrett, Ellie and Owen Zinn.  It is requested that gifts be omitted, but the presence of friends and family and/or cards could be wonderful.

Mary enjoys reading, cooking, attending her great-grandchildren’s activities and to the dismay of her family, is completely computer illiterate.
