Dortha M. Saunders, 82, Logansport, died at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 27, 1927, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Blantz and Gertrude Mast Rynearson. She was married April 17, 1948, in Logansport, to Carl D. Saunders.
She was a homemaker and had also formerly worked at Logan Machine and B&K East.
She was a member of Baptist Temple Church. Dortha loved to travel, read, garden and doing crossword puzzles. She was a 1945 graduate of Logansport High School
Surviving are her husband, Carl Saunders, Logansport; son, Gary Saunders, Pahrump, Nev.; daughter, Janet Goings and husband, Scott, Commerce Township, Mich.; and grandchildren, Jillian Goings and Alex Goings, Commerce Township, Mich.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Wade officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
