Warren “Ray” McFarland Jr.

WALTON — Warren “Ray” McFarland Jr., 63, Walton, went home to be with the Lord at 4:14 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. 2012, at his home in Walton.

He was born Sept. 1, 1949 in Kokomo to Warren R. and Florence C. (Carden) McFarland. He was married Sept. 7, 1985 in Oak Brook, Ill., to Joanna K. (Smolek) McFarland, who survives. McFarland was retired from Raab Kinetico Water Systems in Kokomo as manager. He attended Lemont High School in Illinois. 

McFarland was a member of Upper Deer Creek Church in Galveston and of the Praise Team for Upper Deer Creek Church. He enjoyed his music and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna K. McFarland, Walton; son, Ryan D. (Sara) McFarland, Terre Haute; son, Bradley T. McFarland, Kokomo; daughter, Holly (Sly) Jimenez, Logansport; daughter, Colleen (Ty) Willis, Logansport; son, Trustin J. McFarland, Logansport; daughter, Olivia R.H. McFarland, Logansport; son, Kevin W. McFarland, Walton; daughter, Harmony B. McFarland, Walton; son, Christian J. McFarland, Walton; son, Isaiah J. McFarland, Walton; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Kiara, Josiah, Ayden, Lola, Genevieve and Jamie; brothers, Arthur “Lee” McFarland, Indianapolis; Vernon R. McFarland, Galveston; Bruce W. McFarland, Lemont, Ill. and sister, Kathryn Koff, El Dorado Hills, Calif. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Collin Ray McFarland; and a sister, Yvonne Fogarty.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Joe Coffin and Pastor Grant Merrill officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Cass County. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.

Memorial contributions may be given to his family.
