LOGANSPORT —
Donald E. Wise Sr., 81, of Logansport passed away at 11:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on Jan. 17, 1931, in Cass County, he was the son of the late John and Joy (Ehler) Wise. On Oct. 9, 1949, he married Doris Anne Willy, who survives.
He was a 1949 graduate of Grass Creek High School.
Don worked for over 35 years and retired as foreman from Matthew-Warren in Logansport.
He attended All Saints Catholic Church.
Don enjoyed bowling, golfing, jigsaw puzzles, and collecting baseball cards and coins. He was also an avid Notre Dame, Cubs and Bears fan.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Anne Wise of Logansport, his children, Pamela D. Weber and husband Paul of Batesville, Madonna M. Lorraine and husband Ron of Houston, Texas and Gene M. Wise and wife Tracy of Columbus. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by son, Donald E. Wise Jr., and daughter, Cynthia Anne Wise.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel, with Father Dominic Petan officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
