Deon Robert Trowbridge

Deon Robert Trowbridge, 9, passed away March 19, 2013, at his home in Pleasant Lake.

He was born Dec. 28, 2003, in Bryan, Texas.

Deon was adopted by Melinda Trowbridge in Ohio and became a part of her family. After living Ohio, they moved Pleasant Lake, Indiana, and he had lived there for most of his life.

He lived life to the fullest, and always had a smile. He loved music and music gave him much joy,

He loved toys and especially toys that made music. He took his first ride on a John Deere tractor at age 4, and he had been in every parade in the surrounding area since age 4, riding on a tractor with his grandfather, or riding in the wagon.               

Survivors include his mother, Melinda J. Trowbridge of Pleasant Lake; three siblings at home, Derreck Trowbridge, Amber Trowbridge, and Jared Trowbridge; grandparents, Charlie and Susan Young of Pleasant Lake;  one great-grandmother, Carmen Ragan of Kokomo; two uncles, Michael and Becky Young of Ashley; Matthew and Stephanie Young of Pleasant Lake; also several cousins surviving.             

Preceded in death by great-grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret Young, Lester Ragan, and a cousin, Wyatt Young.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont.

The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Donna Holcomb officiating.

Burial is at Hillside Cemetery, Pleasant Lake.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
