Jean E. Blake Kobe

INDIANAPOLIS — Jean E. Blake Kobe, 86, Indianapolis, passed away Dec. 20, 2012.

She was born June 26, 1926, in Buchanan, Mich., to the late Kenneth A. and Lydia W. Neale Blake.  

Jean was a graduate of Buchanan High School in Michigan and received her nursing degree from Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich.  She married Franz E. Kobe, who preceded her in death.

Jean was a former member of Lawrence United Methodist Church and a current member of First Church of the Nazarene.     

Jean is survived by her children, Steven Kobe (Jean), Susan Tribby (Mark), Mary McDougall (James), Ellen Moore (Michael), John Kobe (Denise) and Dale Kobe (Pam); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Blake (Eiliene); sister-in-law, Mary Blake; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday with calling hours from 1 to 3 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 9401 E. 21st St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229.

A memorial service is pending in Buchanan, Mich.
