INDIANAPOLIS —
Shawn C. Hoch, 34, Indianapolis, died at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at home.
Born May 12, 1978, in Lafayette, he was the son of Brenda Hoch and Victor Hoch.
He married Adriana Hoch on Aug. 2, 2003, in Boca del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico.
He attended primary and secondary school in Cass County, graduating in 1996. He received a BS in Secondary English Education with a minor in teaching English as a New Language at Indiana University Bloomington in 2005 and an MS in Geographic Information Science at IUPUI in 2008. He was a research associate at Children’s Health Services, Department of Pediatrics, IU School of Medicine; also at the Polis Center.
He enjoyed reading, listening to and collecting music, travel, genealogy, and spending time with family. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.
He is survived by wife, Adriana, son, Julian, and daughter, Sara; father Victor Hoch, Kokomo; biological parents Mary Leming and Richard Trent II, both of Lafayette; and biological siblings Gabrielle Leming, Chicago; Jesse Trent, Indianapolis; Zach Trent, Battle Ground; and Richard Trent III, Boulder, Colo.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church, Indianapolis.
Friends may attend a wake and viewing on the previous day from 4-8 p.m. at St. Monica.
Memorials may be made to Julian and Sara Hoch.
Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North.
