Paul David Homburg II

LOGANSPORT — Paul David Homburg, II, 54, Logansport, went to be with the Lord at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at his residence.

Born Oct. 20, 1958, in Logansport, he was the son of Paul D. and Ethel F. Leazenby Homburg. His mother survives.

He was married in Logansport on Aug. 12, 1978, to Sandra S. “Sandy” Rose, who survives.

Paul was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he had served as Church Council Vice President. He served on the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department.

First and foremost he was a self-employed farmer with a deep love for his family, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and mother, Paul is survived by a son, Paul D. (Kristi) Homburg III, a daughter, Kelly Ann (Joshua) Smith, and a sister, Darla (Ron) Hayden, all of Logansport.

Three grandchildren also survive, Graci Lynn Homburg, Johnathan Paul Homburg and Jordan Daniel Smith, as well as nieces and nephews, Andy and Ronnie Hayden and families and April, Adam and Andy Baer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Homburg, in 1977.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry DeVos officiating. Burial will be in Shideler Cemetery, Cass County.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The Trinity Lutheran Church Council Service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hope Hospice or the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
