Juanita Jean Watson, 80, Logansport, passed away at 9:47 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, surrounded by her family at home.
Born Jan. 27, 1932 in Winchester, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Oscar B. and Cleda Mae (Hatton) Brown. On Dec. 23, 1950, in Lafayette, she was married to Thomas Watson, who survives.
Juanita had worked at RBM, Thurm’s Place, Royalon, and the Casablanca Restaurant. She was a member of American Legion Auxillary in Walton.
Surviving with her husband of 62 years are five daughters, Karen Sue (Tim) Bohling, of Logansport, Sonja Osborn of Loganpsort, Vicky (Raul) Jamili of Fort Wayne, Jamie (Mike) Gentile of Brownsburg and Shawnette Watson of Logansport; three brothers, Lavaughn (Elaine) Brown of Fort Wayne, Charles (Connie) Brown of Walton, and Alson (Sandy) Brown of Burrows; three sisters, Margie Emery of Walton, Carolyn (Robert) Sue Mordentie of Delphi, and Joanie (Joseph) Diaz of Michigan; one sister-in-law, Nancy Brown of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother Robert Brown and one son-in-law Mike Osborn.
A funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Hope Hospice Chaplain Dolly Bowen officiating. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral chapel.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Juanita Watson Memorial fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
