Baunetta “Bonnie” F. Nicoles

Baunetta “Bonnie” F. Nicoles, 92, Logansport, passed away at 4 p.m. Jan. 14, 2013, in Maple Park Village, Westfield.

Born April 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Sink and Cutha E. Bryan, Burrows. Bonnie graduated from Delphi High School in 1938. On Dec. 26, 1941, she married Marvin Albert Nicoles from Cass County, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Bonnie was a member Women’s AGLOW, Gamma Nu Sorority and was an active participant for the Youth For Christ. She was a former member of Faith United Methodist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was known for her “crazy” hat shows in the 1960s and was a golf enthusiast, scoring a “hole-in-one” when she was in her early 80s. She retired from the RBM in 1983 after 30 years of service and she enjoyed traveling to various parts of the world with her husband Marvin.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly A. Mitchell and husband Randy, Westfield; two sons, Gregory M. Nicoles and wife Judy, Logansport and Jeffery J. Nicoles, Logansport; brother-in-law, Russell Nicoles, Zionsville; grandchildren, David Nicoles and wife Andrea, Timothy Nicoles, and Kenneth Nicoles, all of Logansport, Crystal Nicoles, La Marc, Texas, Brandon Mitchell, Fishers, Shane Mitchell and wife Jessica, Peoria, Ill., Cory Mitchell, Indianapolis, Jeremy Mitchell and wife Kristi, Carmel, Adam Nicoles, Tricia Nicoles, and Ted Nicoles; and five great-grandchildren.

Three sisters, Marseda (Sink) Castle, Blanche (Sink) Justice, and Betty (Sink) Morehead preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Pilley officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Youth for Christ.
