LOGANSPORT —
Gertrude M. Woolever, 89, Logansport, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born in Walton Dec. 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Paul and Nora Bauer Spitznogle.
On Aug. 9, 1944, in Georgia, she was married to Robert M. Woolever, who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2007.
Gert was a graduate of Washington Township High School and attended Indiana Business College. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and especially her family. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Ladies Society and the Washington Township Forty Niners Extension Homemakers Club.
She had been a realtor with Terra Realty and Brokerage House and was a longtime school bus driver for the Southeastern School Corporation.
Surviving are sons, Clyde (Carol) Woolever, Walton, Danny (Joetta) Woolever, Kokomo, Jeff (Missy) Woolever, Walton, and Benny (Barb) Woolever, Logansport; daughters, Barb (Denny) Baker and Janie (Jay) Winters, all of Logansport; and daughter-in-law, Sue Woolever, Walton.
Also surviving are a brother, John Spitznogle, Lebanon; sister, Lucille Stephenson, Logansport; 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Gert was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Woolever and Stanley Woolever; one grandson, three brothers and three sisters.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kroeger Funeral Home, where the Scripture Service will be conducted at 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
