Betty L. Frye

LOGANSPORT — Betty L. Frye, 71, Logansport, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.

Born on June 13, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Edith (Prophet) James. On June 18, 1961, Betty married Larry “Buck” R. Frye. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2000.

She was a graduate of Logansport High School.

Betty retired from the Logansport State Hospital in 1997. She was a member of Helm St. Church of God and she enjoyed fishing, puzzles, reading, collecting Coke memorabilia and especially watching her children and grandchildren playing sports.

Survivors include her sons, Larry R. Frye, Jr. (Ana), Logansport, Paul H. Frye (Lori), Peru, Daniel L. Frye (Cynthia), Logansport, and Dennis L. Frye (Nonie), Logansport; daughter, Christiana Black (Bobby), Logansport; grandchildren, Melissa Frye, Rebecca Frye, Kirk Kiriazis, Josie Frye, Georgie Frye, Paulie Frye, Katie Clements, Clayton Frye, Dustin Clements, Krista Frye, Kristine Van Baalen (Travis), Sierra Frye, Savannah Frye, Adrienne Frye, Erin Frye, Britny Nichole Frye, Caleigh Brianne Frye, Cateline Leigh Frye, Larry Hayden, Lacey Freels, Landon (Tiffany) Hayden; and great-grandchildren, Justice Frye, Jackson Frye, Jeremiah Frye, Rielynn Frye, Mason Van Baalen, Zachary Freels, Skyla Hayden, Isaiah Hayden and Lillian Hayden.

She was also preceded in death by granddaughters Allie Jo Frye and Bailey Gene Frye and sister, Carolyn McCain.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Logansport.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Logansport Youth Baseball League.
