Betty Louise Achey

WALTON — Betty Louise Achey, 67, Walton, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at St. Vincent Inpatient Hospice, Indianapolis.  

She was born April 9, 1945, in Farner, Tenn., to the late Robert and Amanda (Garrett) Roberts. On April 10, 1968, in Onward, she married Virgil Kenneth Achey, he survives.

Betty retired from Delphi as an inspector.  

Surviving is her husband, Virgil Kenneth Achey, Walton, two daughters and a son-in-law, Fonda and Fredrick Weis, Delphi, Brenda Denny, Logansport, seven grandchildren; Gwen Weis, Teresa Weis, Mary Cole Weis, Jerome Virgil Weis, Brittany Nichole Denny, Bailey Nichole Denny and Christian Darrell Denny.

Also surviving is a brother and a sister-in-law, Troy and Nancy Roberts, Calif., three sisters, Gwen “Depew” Wainscott, Kokomo, Fannie Worthy, Kokomo, Zan Gilmore, Penn., and a brother-in-law, Steve and Judy Achey, Peru.  

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Roberts and a sister, Judy Witt.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston, with the Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Onward Deer Creek Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
