Frank Diveley

ROCHESTER — Frank Diveley, 84, Rochester, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence.

Born on February 16, 1928, in Grass Creek, he was the son of the late Edgar and Josephine (Myers) Diveley. On May 16, 1953, he married Marilyn Korreckt; she survives.

He was a 1947 graduate of Royal Center High School.

Frank was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in WWII as a machine gunner aboard the B-29 Super Fortress stationed in Guam.

He was a lifelong farmer.

Frank was a member of the V.F.W. 3790 in Logansport and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his pond.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Diveley, Rochester; son, Daniel F. Diveley (Jenny), Rochester; sisters, June Dempsey, Royal Center, and Carolyn Cox, Mooresville; grandchildren, Sommer Halterman (Derek), Fulton, Jill Robinson (Dave), Indianapolis, John Diveley, Rochester, and Catherine Diveley, Kewanna; and great-grandchildren, Lane Halterman, Fulton and Stone Robinson, Indianapolis.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard Diveley.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel, with Chaplain Jason See officiating. Burial with military rites will be performed at Grass Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and/or Hope Hospice.
