Leroy C. Wiggins, 82, Peru, died at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Chase Center.
Leroy was born April 17, 1930, in Parris, Ky., to Samuel I. and Iva Mae (Gedghegan) Wiggins. He married Celia Jean (Gray) Wiggins on July 23, 1950. She preceded him in death.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and retired from civil service in 1986. He served in the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW, an MOC member, life member of the American Legion and past commander of the VFW in Bunker Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvetta (Michael) Sims, Logansport; three sons, Sameul Lee Wiggins, Kokomo, Leroy Edward Wiggins, Fort Wayne and Joseph Albert Wiggins, Logansport; grandkids, Erika, David, Rebecca, Stacie, Katie, Stephen, Brianna, Kendra, Shelby and Britany; three stepgrandchildren; and three sisters, Lorene Rentals, Tennessee, Rubby McDonald, Florida, and Opal Forman, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by both parents, wife and two brothers.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, with the Rev. Rod Mason officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
