Cynthia A. “Cindy” Gaumer

Cynthia A. “Cindy” Gaumer, 66, Logansport, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 16, 1946, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Paul P. “Pat” and Wynona Mayhew Kroeger.

On Aug. 16, 1969, she was married in St. Joseph’s Church to Lee Allen Gaumer, who survives.

Cindy had been employed as a teller at the F & M State Bank, and as a secretary at Cass County Machine Company and All Saints Middle School.

She had served as secretary for the Neal Home Board of Directors and was a Memorial Hospital gift shop volunteer for Mary Dykeman Guild. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, tailgating at IU football games, traveling, but most especially, having her family home and together on Sundays.

Cindy was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Allison Leigh Gaumer, Lauren Elizabeth Gaumer (Rod McClure), Christopher Allen Gaumer and Matthew Kroeger (Julie) Gaumer, all of Logansport; brothers, Paul Kroeger, Logansport and Fr. Timothy Kroeger, Lebanon, Ind.

Also surviving are a granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Gaumer, step-grandchildren, Caleb and Jeremiah Miller, and sister-in-law, Paula Gaumer (Gene) Tooke, Tonawanda, N.Y.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Kroeger officiating. Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kroeger Family Fund at the Cass County Community Foundation, PO Box 441, Logansport, IN, or Riley Children’s Hospital, Suite 200, 30 South Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
