MONTICELLO —
Maxine G. Compton, 90, Monticello, Ind., formerly of Star City, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Lafayette, Ind.
Maxine was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Monon, Ind., to Donald C. and Lillian Ann (Tiede) Boulden. Maxine was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters Barbara A. (Donald) Rhamy, Westfield, and Debra S. Compton, Indianapolis; sons John R. (Susan) Compton, Kalamazoo, Mich., James D. (Madonna) Compton, Lafayette, Ind. and Jeffrey L. (Deborah) Compton, Star City, Ind.; grandchildren Scott (Elizabeth) Rhamy, Richmond, Va., Robert (Megan) Rhamy, Bloomington, Ill., Jennifer (William) Tohtz, Bartlett, Ill., Andrew Compton, Phoenix, Glenn Compton, Kalamazoo, Mich., Cari (James) Gothard, Lafayette, Ind., Kate (David) Schuppan, Hinsdale, Ill., Chad (April) Compton, Star City, Ind., Brooke (William) Jung, Zionsville, Ind.; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (JoAnn) Boulden, Indianapolis; and sisters Joan Moss, Flora, Ind., and Betty Varga, South Bend, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald C. Boulden, mother Lillian Ann Tiede Boulden, and her husband, Robert A. Compton.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Frain Mortuary, Winamac with the Rev. Ruth Waite officiating. Burial will be in Star City West Cemetery, Star City, Ind. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Frain Mortuary.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Star City United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
