Florence May Rush

LOGANSPORT — Florence May Rush, 82, Logansport, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born May 8, 1930, in Mount Clements, Mich., she was the daughter of Walter Joseph and Ellen Grace Snay. She was married April 26, 1947, in Mount Clements, Mich., to Robert E. Rush. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1997.

Florence was retired from the former Maiben’s Laundry.

Florence was a member of Four Square Gospel Church. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Royal Center Order of Eastern Star. She liked to bowl and play bingo. Florence was an excellent cook.

Surviving are one son, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Patrick (Ellen) Snay, James (Penny) Snay, Gilbert (Dorothy) Snay, all of Logansport, and Thomas (Jane) Snay, Tennessee; four sisters, Ellen Zeider and Judy Hizer, both of Logansport, and Joan Parsons and Ruth Jackson, both of Mount Clements, Mich.

She was preceded in death by brothers John, Bill, Richard, Gerald and Franklin Snay; and sisters Margaret Schultz and Carolyn Snay.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
