Leonard A. Uhrich

KEWANNA — Leonard A. Uhrich, 95, Kewanna, died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born July 27, 1917, in Norristown, Pa., he was the son of LeRoy Uhrich Sr. and Mary E. Dunn. He was married Oct. 28, 1939, in Hatfield, Pa., to Anna M. Moore, who preceded in death May 18, 2004.

He was a pastor and former college professor. He also was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughter, Lois Butler and husband, John, Grand Rapids, Mich.; sons, Robert Uhrich and wife, Judy, Kewanna, Larry Uhrich and wife, Rita, Greer, S.C., and Richard Uhrich and wife, Nancy, Elkton, Fla.; grandchildren, Doug Uhrich and wife, Stacey, Kimberly Illsey and husband, Bruce, Laurie Gallagher and husband, Shaun, Tim Uhrich and wife, Juanna, Tammy Colvin and husband, Brent, Jonni Miller and husband, Justin, Kristen Williams and husband, David, Greg Kral and wife, Glenda, Cheryl Kovacich and husband, Duane, Julie Hubbard and husband, Randee, Sarah Uhrich and Christopher Uhrich; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Frye officiating. Burial will be in Metea Cemetery, Metea.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.     

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Inc., PO Box 908, Bellmawr NJ 08099.
