Judith Kay Pifer

LOGANSPORT — Judith Kay Pifer, 67, Logansport, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on Sept. 1, 1945 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde O. Pifer and Matilda Sara Clara McGuire.

Judy worked in private home healthcare for several years and she was also a bartender for more than 18 years. She was a member of the VFW 3790 Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed singing karaoke and playing bingo. In her younger years, she also enjoyed bowling and playing pool.

Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Lynne Beebout and husband Troy of Logansport and Julianna Hollandsworth of Anderson; brothers, Ralph E. Reed and wife Hilda of Kokomo, Robert J. Pifer and wife Alicia of Royal Center, Michael Pifer of Houston, Texas, and Donald Pifer of Aurora, Ill.; sisters, Patricia Ann Baker of Logansport and Nancy Ann Pifer of Oxford, N.C.; and grandchildren, Nikki McMinn and husband Graham, Bradley Schramm Jr., Zakkary and Taysia Beebout, Timothy, Stephen, Daniel, Paul and Hannah Hollandsworth; special niece, Charity Austin; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Sidney, Morgan and Lilli McMinn, Braxton and Caiden Austin.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Pifer, and an infant brother.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Kelly Spencer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization.
