John W. Graham

GALVESTON — John W. Graham, 84, Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Kindred Health Care, Kokomo.    

He was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Galveston to William Graham and Carmen Q. (Barren) Graham.

He married Joyce K. (Nelson) Graham, who survives, Jan. 10, 1953, in Prescott, Ariz.    

John delivered milk for Med-o-Bloom Dairy for 30 years.

He was affiliated with the American Legion. He loved pitching horseshoes and enjoyed woodworking. He loved his grandchildren and followed them in their sporting events.

John served in the United States Marines in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Graham, Galveston; son, Michael Graham, Hattiesburg, Miss, son, Rick (Barbara) Graham, Galveston; daughter, Cindy (Myron) Myers, Elwood; grandchildren, Robin (Ricky) Murphree, Sumrall, Miss., Christopher (Christine) Myers, Fairmont, Blaine Graham, Kokomo, Kelsie Myers, Marion, Cameron Myers, Elwood; great-grandchildren Makayla Murphree, Rylee Murphree, Graham Murphree, Caiden Myers, Brylee Bokinsky, and Dalton Graham, stepgranddaughters, Stacey, Christy, Dawn, stepgreat-grandchildren Jacob, Derrek, Marshall, Dillon, Morgan, Hunter, Jenna, Falecia, Jordan, Serenity, Brody; sister Wilma Rust, Fla., sister, Rosalee Dunn, Kokomo, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Elizabeth and Jane, and brother, Charles.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Galveston with Rev. Joel Surface officiating.

Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Galveston.

Memorials can be made to We Care and First Baptist Church of Galveston.
